Hi Gracie. Thank you for the comment and invite to the Panama Canal. That sounds great and I would love a tour next time I’m in the city. Life certainly is without amenities, but it is all worth it to live somewhere so beautiful with such kind people. Are you enjoying Prescott? I do love my hometown!

    Hello Jessica,

Looks like you have been busy. I just wanted to let you know I just found your blog again after losing touch when I was layed off from PBI in mid December. I have had lots on my mind and now that I am settled again, I found you to follow your journeys again. Hope you are doing well and I’m hoping to catch back up on your posts in the next few nights. You might see a few comments on older posts coming your way. Take care!!

      Hey Kristin,

Great to hear from you! I’m sorry to hear about PBI but I hope that you are moving up and moving in the direction that you want!

      Look forward to the comments.

Hola!

Cualquiera sirve.

    Mil gracias de antemano.

Un saludo a todos y buen finde!!

Just a note to say how much I enjoy getting your updates. I think you’re doing a great job. I live not too far away, in Boqueron, but have never been up into the Comarca.

    Hi Jessica,
I came across your blog while researching Panama. My boyfriend and I will be backpacking there for 2 weeks in late December/early Jan. We’re interested in volunteering and experiencing the indigenous cultures in various regions of Panama. Could you possibly send me some contact information or details about how to get involved / who to work with / etc? Thanks so much! – Stacey

      Hey Stacey,

Thanks for the email. I recommend going to comarcangobebugle.com. It connects to a community in the same indigenous reservation that I work in and write about, but they are more equipped to receive visitors. Do you guys speak Spanish? The English numbers listed are for other Peace Corps volunteers who recently finished service and have left country. Likewise, my time is up here and I’ll be leaving country (otherwise, I’m always happy to receive visitors in Chichica). As for official volunteer organizations, I don’t know of any! But good luck and enjoy your trip!

      Jessica
